Export to CSV, Excel, JSON or PDF

Getting the data out for a spreadsheet, a script or a printer.

1 min readUpdated

Choose Export CSV or Export Excel above the responses table, or open More downloads for JSON or PDFs. The file downloads straight away.

What is in it

One row per response, one column per question, in canvas order, plus the submitted time and the completion status. Uploaded files appear as links.

Filters carry over

The export respects whatever filter is applied. Filter to complete responses from this month and that is exactly what you get.

Selected rows only

If you have selected rows with the checkboxes, the export offers those rows on their own.

JSON

Each response as the API returns it: every answer with its question's id and key, the respondent, calculations and payment. Scripts written for the API read the file too.

PDFs

PDFs in a zip gives one file per response; One PDF puts them all in one document, each from a new page. Up to 500 responses at a time. Answers in any language come out right, Arabic, Hindi and Japanese included. One response is also a PDF from its own page.

Which plan

CSV, JSON and PDFs are on every plan. Excel, and having a copy of every response emailed to you, are on Pro and Business.

Extra columns

Forms with calculations get a column for each result, and forms that take payment get a Payment column with the amount and whether it was paid.
