What it does
Formkit never holds the payment. A restricted Stripe key lets Formkit open a checkout and nothing else, and refunds happen in Stripe as usual.
Charge a set amount, the result of a calculation (places times price, a quote that adds up the options someone picked), or let people pay what they want above a minimum you set.
- How many: one, a number they answered, or picked at checkout
- Promotion codes you made in Stripe
- Stripe Tax, added on top or already in the price
The last button says Pay and send. The answers wait while the person pays, and become a response only once Stripe confirms it, by webhook the moment it happens. Nobody turns up unpaid, and if they leave without paying, nothing is sent.

Questions
Does Formkit charge a fee on payments?
No. Stripe's own fees apply; Formkit adds nothing.
Can people use a discount code?
Yes. Turn on promotion codes and they can enter any code you made in Stripe on the payment page.
What if someone closes the tab while paying?
If the payment went through, Stripe tells Formkit and the response arrives anyway. If it didn't, nothing is sent, and the answers are forgotten after two days.
Can I test it first?
Yes. Use a Stripe test key and try it without real money.
