Sign in with a passkey

Face ID, a fingerprint or your device's PIN instead of the password.

1 min readUpdated

A passkey lets you sign in with whatever unlocks your phone or computer. Your password still works; a passkey is another way in.

Add one

Open Settings → Account → Passkeys and choose Add a passkey. Your device asks you to confirm it's you, and that's it. Add one on each device you use, up to ten.

Sign in with it

On the sign-in page, choose Sign in with a passkey. No email needed: your device offers the passkeys it holds for Formkit.

Two-factor

A passkey checks you as well as the device, so a passkey sign-in counts as two-factor too.

Lost a device?

Remove its passkey in Settings → Account. You get an email whenever a passkey is added or removed.
