Add a Voice recording field from the Upload group in the library. The people answering press the button, speak, and stop. They can listen back and record again before they send the form.
How long
Select the question and choose Longest recording: 15 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute, 2 minutes, 3 minutes or 5 minutes. A timer shows how long is left, and the recording stops by itself when it reaches the limit.
The microphone
The browser asks for permission to use the microphone the first time. If it is blocked, or there is no microphone, the question offers to upload an audio file instead, so it can always be answered.
Size
Recordings count as uploads, so the plan's upload size applies: 20 MB on Free, 150 MB on Pro and 250 MB on Business. A five-minute recording is around 3 MB, well inside every plan.
Listening to answers
Open the response in the inbox and the recording plays right under its question. Download it from the same place. In a CSV or Excel export, each recording is a link.
Required and logic
Mark it required and the form will not go on until there is a recording. In logic, a voice question can be checked for whether it was answered.
